Two jazz vocalists, two generations, two different sounds come together in a special concert, “More Than Just Your Jazz Standards”.

Sara Michaels and Sharon Sable reimagine the songs by Gladys Knight, The Beatles, James Taylor, Carole King, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Cindy Lauper and Jazz Standards by Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Edith Piaf, Louis Armstrong, and so much more.

Michael’s was inspired by Jazz vocalist Sharon Sable’s diverse repertoire, including popular songs that she beautifully reinterprets using her masterful jazz lexicon. Sara Michael’s is also the host of Uptown’s “The Jazz Cocktail Hour”. Each artist will be highlighted individually as well as duets. Sara Michaels will include a few original songs written during the Pandemic. Sharon Sable will be sharing songs from her CD, "Love Evermore", as well as new arrangements of what she refers to as "some of the best pop songs ever written" from the 1940's - today.

Michaels and Sable will be joined by The Terry Klinefelter Quintet.
